Eco Battery Gen3 Lifetime Warranty Explained

Eco Battery Gen3 Lifetime Warranty Explained

Eco Battery Just updated the warranty on all Gen 3 Batteries.

Understanding Your ECO Battery Warranty: What’s Covered and When

Buying a battery is a long-term investment, so it’s important to know exactly how your warranty works over time. ECO battery warranty is designed to provide strong protection upfront and continued support well into the life of your battery. Here’s a simple breakdown of what you’re entitled to—and when.

Years 0–6: Full Repair or Replacement Coverage

For the first six years after your purchase, you’re fully covered.

If your registered ECO Battery is found to be defective due to materials or workmanship, ECO Capital will either:

  • Repair the battery or

  • Replace it at no cost

The choice to repair or replace is at ECO discretion, but either way, you won’t pay for the battery itself during this period.

Years 6–9: 50% Replacement Option

Once your battery passes the six-year mark, coverage shifts—but you’re still supported.

From year six through year nine, if your battery is deemed defective, you can receive a new battery for 50% of ECO manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) at the time you file your warranty claim.

This gives you a significant discount while extending the usable life of your system.

Years 9–12: 75% Replacement Option

Between years nine and twelve, ECO continues to offer replacement support.

During this period, you’re eligible to purchase a new battery for 75% of the current MSRP if a covered defect is confirmed. While the discount is smaller, it still provides meaningful savings compared to full replacement cost.

After 12 Years: Approved Parts Coverage

After twelve years, full battery replacement coverage ends—but ECO still stands behind key components.

If certain Approved Parts fail or are defective, ECO Capital will:

  • Ship replacement parts to you after the warranty claim is approved

However, please note:

  • You are responsible for installation costs, whether you replace the parts yourself or hire a professional.

Approved Parts currently include:

  • Battery management system

  • Terminals

  • Power button

  • Bus bars

  • Communication ports

  • Bluetooth module

  • Heating module

  • Any additional parts ECO Capital designates as “Approved Parts” in the future

Why This Matters

This tiered warranty structure reflects how batteries age over time—offering maximum protection early on and continued value as the system matures. Understanding these stages helps you plan ahead, avoid surprises, and get the most from your investment.
