SKU: 25-513 — Reliance 48 volt 10-spline high torque motor built for Club Car DS IQ, Power Drive Plus, Precedent, Onward, and Tempo (2000–2019). Maximum pulling power and hill-climbing performance in a direct factory replacement — and it includes a speed sensor and magnet.

Features:

  • Compatible with Club Car 48V DS IQ, Power Drive Plus, Precedent, Onward, and Tempo (not a replacement for Series motors)
  • 10-spline coupler
  • 12-inch overall length (verify clearance before installation)
  • Direct factory motor replacement
  • Includes speed sensor and magnet
  • Navitas controller compatible
  • Replaces D1162 and GE-D388
  • Includes a 1-year warranty

NOTE: Performance gains require an upgraded controller and properly maintained mechanical components. High torque applications can damage stock controllers — a Navitas controller upgrade is strongly recommended.

With Upgraded Controller:

  • Speeds up to 20 mph at 48 volts
  • 12.3 HP peak at 48 volts
  • Up to 75% increase in torque

New Motor Break-In Instructions:

This motor is engineered to work with stock factory controllers and aftermarket controllers programmed with a custom, motor-specific field map. Using an incorrectly programmed controller may result in motor damage and will void all warranties.

Break-In Procedure:

  • Step 1 – Initial Drive: Drive the vehicle for 8–10 miles at varying speeds, accelerating gently throughout.
  • Step 2 – Temperature Monitoring: Drive on a level surface (pavement or asphalt). Gradually accelerate and maintain full speed for 5–10 minutes, then stop and check motor temperature.
    • During the first 30 minutes, check temperature every 10 minutes by touching the aluminum end bell (silver component near the center of the motor).
    • If the end bell is too hot to touch, stop and allow the motor to cool before continuing.
    • If you can hold your hand on it for 5+ seconds, it is safe to continue for a few more miles. Repeat until the 8–10 mile break-in is complete.
  • CAUTION: Avoid touching any exposed electrical connections while power is on.
  • NOTE: Speed and torque will improve as brushes seat against the commutator. A cooler-running motor is a more efficient motor.
